A lovely effervescence when served; the activity then persists with a steady, calm succession of fine bubbles bursting at the surface to form a fine, broken bead.
The colour is old gold and limpid.
Oak takes hold of the nose after a few seconds in the glass: an expressive nose blending vanilla, cedar and blond tobacco with orange peel and mandarin.
The palate is fresh on the attack, followed by great breadth and richness, with fruity flavours (candied citrus, orange zest).
The finish is long and dense, with notes of dried fruit mixed with oaky notes recalling the nose.

Food pairing: with a meal (lamb, walnut tart, mocha ice cream) or with a cigar.
